Little OL started at a Montessori school this morning, so I am now officially the mommy of a pre-schooler! Although she does have 3 years before she starts actually starts Grade R. Here are a few photos from yesterday when she went in for orientation.
When I picked her up she was full of smiles and when I asked what she did all I got out of her was that she built puzzles (her all-time favourite thing) and climbed a tree. And she had some mud on her, which I always take as a good sign!
PS- Look at the size of her classroom, it is huge. I am hoping that because of this she will be sick a whole lot less this year!

She is soooo cute! What a big girl now… oh the difference a year makes!
I know,I can’t believe it. You don’t really realise until you see it like that.
She is growing too fast. So glad the first day went well and dirt is always a good sign.
Oh wow, growing up fast. Best of luck
Shew – a year makes a whole lotta difference.
I had D at a Montessori pre-school and we both absolutely loved it. I would have loved her to continue with it but nothing like that here.
Good luck to miss OL and hope that she LOVES it too. x
I am very fortunate that this school continues through till Grade 7, and in 2015 are planning on opening a high school too. Obviously it is to early to tell if we will keep her there, but I am happy that I have the option.
A whole new chapter starts for both her and you
Yes, I don’t know if I am ready for it. She seems fine though.
It’s lovely to see how big a preschool classroom is. Many times the classrooms are very small for so much kids.
She’s so cute
Yes, the creche she was at last year was so much smaller – and even that was bigger than some of the places I have seen.
Smile, combined with dirt, that’s the sign of a happy toddler.
Hope she enjoys it there. And before long she will be telling you about her friends
I hope so.
WOW that is a lovely big classroom!!! Love the pictures – makes your realise how quickly they grow!!
aaaaw, man, she’s gorgeous and yes, a year makes a huge difference.
I love the size of that classroom!!!!
Fantastic isn’t it.
